All of our physicians are board certified and practice comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological medicine. Please read below for more specific information on each provider.

Kara Flaherty:
Kara received her B.S. degree in biology from Cornell University and her M.D. degree from Albany Medical College in 1994 and 1999 respectively. She completed her residency at UVM Fletcher Allen Health Care in 2003. Kara is Board Certified by the American Board of OB/GYN and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Kara went into OB/GYN in order to provide state of the art health care to women while simultaneously making them feel safe, comfortable and heard. Kara loves delivering babies. She feels privileged to be a participant in such an important part of women's lives. Her practice specialties are supporting women in labor, obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, management of menstrual bleeding disorders and evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence. Kara grew up in Albany, NY the oldest of four children, and she married her college sweetheart, Brendan, in 1998. They live in Colchester with their two sons. When Kara's not seeing patients, she's hard at work being a mom and wife.

Jill Jertson:
Jill graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook and received her medical degree from Tufts University in Boston. She completed her residency at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the Vermont Medical Society. Jill went into OB/GYN because she enjoys performing surgery, doing office gynecology and plus she just loves delivering babies! Her practice specialties are Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, Abnormal Pap Smears, Ultrasound and Evaluation of Urinary Problems. Jill is married and a dedicated mom of three children. If Jill's not here, she's likely out skiing, boating or running.

George Till:
George graduated from Haverford College in 1974 and then worked as a social worker in nearby Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1981 and completed his residency at the University of California at San Francisco. George then spent three years in the National Health Service Corps in St. Louis before joining Champlain OB/GYN in 1988. Married with 3 children, George has been a member of the school board for 10 years, and is active in youth sports. George's professional goal is to provide the absolute highest quality and most thorough health care to every patient every day.

John (Jack) Gallagher:
Jack Gallagher received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bowdoin College and graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine where he is now Associate Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his internship and residency at Baystate Medical center in Springfield Massachusetts. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His professional interests for which he has had additional training include minimally invasive surgery, alternatives to hysterectomy, management of abnormal menses, urinary incontinence, evaluation of abnormal pap smears and gynecologic ultrasound. His goal is to exceed his patient's expectations every day. Jack is married and has three sons and lives in Jericho.

Sally Stockwell:
Sally received both her bachelor's and medical degree in Vermont at UVM, and she is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the North American Menopause Society, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Sally went into OB/GYN because it was the most personally rewarding medical specialty for her. She specializes in menopause, nutritional and healthy living strategies, abnormal bleeding, and general gynecology. Married with two grown sons, she is very active in her community and church. When asked if there was something she would like to share with her patients, she said: "I believe all women, regardless of age and economic status are capable of and obligated to be responsible for their health, and that we physicians have the responsibility to aid them in their choices."

Nathalie Feldman:
Nathalie received her BA from Yale University, where she graduated cum laude, and her MD from McGill University in Montreal. She did her internship/residency at the University of Tennessee. Nathalie is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and went into Obstetrics and Gynecology because of her inherent interest in women's health and a fascination with the complexity of OB/GYN issues. Although she no longer practices Obstetrics, she does provide Gynecology care and specializes in non-surgical alternatives to gynecologic problems, adolescent health, menopause and life transitions. She is intrigued by mind/body connections and focuses on preventive health care for women. Something you may not know about Nathalie is that she is fluent in French and she plays ice hockey!

Lisa Kelley:
Lisa graduated from the University Of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Nursing and received her Midwifery degree from the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American College of Nurse Midwives, and she is a Certified Lactation Consultant and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider. Her motivation is to give quality care to women throughout their lives from adolescence thru menopause, and to continue to work with them to achieve optimal health. Lisa is married with four children. Lisa started the midwifery service here at Champlain OB/GYN, and she believes that attending births is a gift.

Paula Miner:
Paula received her medical degree from the Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1997. Then it was off to Maine where she completed a Family Practice residency and realized how she was drawn to women's health. Due to a passion to provide comprehensive care to women in all stages of life, Paula completed a second residency in OB/GYN at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. For the past three years Paula has been working across Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, NY. She is thrilled to join us here at Champlain Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her interests include treating menstrual bleeding disorders, evaluating and treating urinary incontinence, and providing compassionate prenatal and labor care. Paula lives in Colchester and enjoys running and hiking with her family.
